Welcome to the Preparatory Course in Basic Statistics (LOG718) at Molde University College – Specialized University in logistics

This course provides students with basic principles and methods of statistics that are needed to perform the course LOG708 Applied Statistics with SPSS.  It is strongly recommended for the students that do not have any /weak statistical backgrounds to attend this course. The main topics are descriptive statistics, probabilities, random variables, sampling and sampling distributions and estimation.

It is an intensive one-week course delivery with lecture sessions in the morning and working on the assignments in the afternoon. The necessary course materials will be uploaded on this webpage. It is recommended to attend the class but the students can also follow the streamed video.
